    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a very in depth experience. I was taught how to do major reports for the company and was treated with respect and maturity just like any other colleague.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My coworkers were extremely helpful and understanding when I needed guidance, and gave tons of encouragement when I needed it.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • If I needed help on anything my managers were quick to respond.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Quite busy. I had my own reports to complete each month so it was rare to have a ‘quiet” day.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was responsible for five types of reports that were due in different time frames. They were my tasks alone, and it was a great chance to learn responsibility in the workplace.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I learnt from my placement are priceless - they are exactly what I need to be able to enter the finance world.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • All my coworkers were friendly and welcoming.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I had set tasks to do and was regularly invited to do extra work with different managers.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They unsuited me to many different training courses.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Subsidised Canteen

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    Working from home

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • The prospects are fantastic. If I were to apply for a job with Disney I would likely get it due to their last experience surgery me.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There were over 200 interns, so there was never a feeling of being alone! Many people were learning along side me so it was a comfortable experience.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Very expensive. I was paying 55% of my monthly pay check on rent as it was in London.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • London is huge and has a lot of tourist attractions and bars so it was a lot of fun.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • They offered many trips and activities outside of working hours such as yoga, film clubs.
