The Role
I found it enjoyable and highly worthwhile.
I felt valued by the colleagues that allowed me to shadow them in their daily work.
We received lots of support and guidance from the pair of girls who organised the event, and at no point felt lost or helpless.
The days were very busy, though there was enough varied activities to prevent boredom.
We weren't given that much responsibility, and although that was a shame, I understand it was hard to incorporate responsibility in the scenario we were in.
The understanding of how the industry works will assist me in my degree studies, and my own hunger for knowledge. The tips and advice on recruitment processes will help me reach the job I desire in the future.
The Company
The atmosphere in the offices were polite but concentrated as people got on with their daily jobs, and the atmosphere within the room our presentations were held was a bit more lively.
It was very well organised with a busy schedule which ran without many hiccups.
They spent time in showing us how to complete recruitment processes and really show off our own achievements/characteristics.
There was the possibility of being inducted into the summer internship offered by the company, and the company really appealed to me.
The Culture
There was a happy atmosphere between everyone at J.P. Morgan.
I go to University in Bournemouth anyway so the cost of living was no shock.
The Bournemouth nightlife is some of the best I have experienced.
I was only there for a couple of days so didn't have the opportunity to get involved with such activities.
