The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed the 16 months I spent at The Walt Disney Company, working in Digital Marketing. It was a dream internship come true.
I felt all of my opinions and ideas were encouraged and valued by my colleagues. Interns play a vital part at The Walt Disney Company and are provided with many responsibilities. I felt that my team trusted in my abilities and pushed me to continue to develop my skills and knowledge.
The support I had from my managers and supervisors was excellent. I always felt comfortable asking questions or for help if I needed it throughout the placement. My team always encouraged me to take on new tasks and responsibilities which I really enjoyed, and allowed me to expand on areas that I really enjoyed or wanted to learn more about.
I was always busy which was what I loved. I loved always having tasks to complete so I wasn't bored and I never really felt overwhelmed. However, there were some times around big marketing campaigns where the whole team was super busy. These were great experiences to learn how to cope under these circumstances and were part of the job.
I was given loads of responsibility during my placement. I managed projects, played a vital part in many campaigns and strategies, as well as my ideas and creations coming to life.
The skills I learnt during my first two years at University were very helpful during my placement. Furthermore, the valuable real-life experience has certainly helped me in my final year so far.
The Company
It was very professional but there were always events and activities going on.
The internship system is very well organised, and I felt the whole process was enjoyable to go through.
I felt a lot of personal training and development opportunities during my placement.

The Walt Disney Company does not offer graduate schemes however I would love to return to the company in the future, and I would hope the experience I had and the contacts I have now will put me in good stead to return in the future.
The Culture
Yes, there were plenty of intern events and activities that were perfect for meeting new people and socialising.
The cost was very high in central London, but I saved money by staying at home just outside of London and commuting.
There are loads of great pubs and bars in Hammersmith.
There were loads of opportunities to get involved in other projects across the business.
