  • The atmosphere at the walt Disney company offices is very pleasant enthusiastic and motivating. Everyone works very hard and they also enjoy their work. The teams that we work with are extremely friendly and we all work in collaboration rather than in competition. • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • My placement here at the Walt Disney Co was extremely organised and well executed by the HR. The company having hired interns for many years now is extremely experienced in setting up a challenging and fruitful placement year for their interns. The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The social scene amongst fellow students and colleagues is very pleasant and happening. As every year they hire over 100 interns There is a large group of students who get to know each other at a professional and personal level and enjoy their placement year by going out to Some excellent places close to the office. With the train station being nearby and a train to central London only 20 minutes away the social aspect is amazing!

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The cost of living in London is generally very high compare to any other place and the cost of living in Hammersmith is also considerably expensive. Living close to the office can eliminate the cost of commuting and having to take the train or bus every day however it can be a bit tight on the pocket. Although it may work out cheaper to live in zone three or four the commute can be time-consuming especially during peak hours.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The Walt Disney Co offices in London are located in Hammersmith zone 2. Being extremely close to the train station the night life becomes very seamless and happening. The place in itself is very lively with many events going on in Hammersmith Apollo just across the road. You could also go next to the bridge for a nice meal. Since many interns get accommodations together it becomes a great experience to socialise and live the London life.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Disney offers multiple opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work. The corporate social responsibility team conduct various events and activities to contribute to the society in which you can volunteer and build on some key skills and play your part in giving back to the society. In addition there are various societies such as the music group the badminton group the triathlon team which you can join based on your interests or create a new society and get together with people with similar interests!
