    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • My year long placement was definitely enjoyable due to the wonderful mixture of the work and culture. I learnt so much over the 12 months and got to work on some interesting projects.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • From the very start I was treated as a colleague rather than just a placement student, which I really appreciated

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • There's constant support available from not just your manager, but also from the placement/Emerging Talent team, as well as a grad buddy

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • How busy you are can vary time to time. Sometimes I had a lot of work and sometimes I had quiet days, but overall it was a good balance. As long as you keep your team aware of if you have too much/too little work, you will find a good balance

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • You get given quite a lot of responsibility. I was able to lead on projects and take on solo projects whilst constantly supporting my team to deliver results

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • 5/5

  • 5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • 4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • As a placement student you have development days which are focussed entirely on expanding your skillsets. You, as well as all other colleagues, will set objectives to ensure you get the most out of your placement/job and are continuing to grow. There's also the opportunity to complete short courses on either improving soft skills or technical skills/knowledge

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
