About You
The insight days I attended were very well organised. There was a lot of opportunities to ask questions and Bank staff provided very useful insights. I particularly enjoyed the panel discussion because it gave me a very good sense of what it’s like to work at the Bank.
What made me feel most valued by the Bank was that staff would give very full answers to questions. This provided me with a much better sense of what it’s like to work at the Bank beyond what I could find on the website. I was particularly impressed by how bank staff took part in the insight day (in the panel discussion and the networking session).
We were given instructions about how to use the meeting platform. These instructions were very clear.
The information I gained has not assisted my degree studies. It did, however, give me a much better sense of the culture at the Bank. It convinced me that it is a place in which I would like to work.
The Company
The atmosphere was both formal and congenial. I was made to feel that I could ask any question and when I did ask a question, I would receive a very full, well thought out response.
Given the length of the insight day, I do not think I could’ve developed over the course of it. I would say, however, that it provided me with information that fleshed out a lot of the information on the Bank website. In that sense it was very helpful. I don’t think I gained any skills as a result of attending the insight days.
I gained a very good sense of what it’s like to work at the Bank. What I really appreciated was how enthusiastic staff were about the Bank and how they would discuss how much they like the culture without being prompted. This spoke volumes to me and I would not be able to get this through studying the information on the Bank website.
I got a very good sense of how collaborative the Bank is. I also learned how much people that are hard working and willing to learn are values by the organisation. This is something I couldn’t have found out had I not attended the insight day.
Yes, it convinced me that the Bank is somewhere I’d like to work.
Everything Else
There was panel discussion at the beginning and a networking session at the end. I was given access to several employees at different levels. Gaining their insight was very useful.
There were networking opportunities but not social opportunities as the event was held in virtual space.
The website has a fair bit of information about the activities that staff can get involved in. The staff in the insight provided me was much more information in relation this. They made it clear to me how much more (than is included on the website) is provided for staff to get involved with. Everything from different networks to get involved in, talks, events, directorate drinks, Xmas parties.
Yes definitely. It’s an excellent opportunity to flesh out the information on the website.
