About You
It was very a very well organised event. As an attendee, I got an all round exposure to MUFG's banking practises, their culture as well as an insight into their recruitment process. I also had a chance to network with senior directors and graduates allowing me to see how a career in MUFG is from various different roles.
Feeling valued and respecting your colleagues is a part of MUFG's culture. Everyone I spoke to was willing to answer as many questions and was open to offer an insight into their current and past roles.
The event had MUFG business representatives present throughout. This was really helpful when we was doing our case study as well as our networking sessions. There was a lot go support and i particularly enjoyed speaking to the graduates at the end of the event to gain more of an insight into assessment centre preparations.
Firsty, my degree involves a substantial amount of group work and I particularly enjoy working in teams and have the opportunity of speaking to other people. During this event, we had the chance to do a case study practise in a team and this helped enhanced my team building skills as well as my communication skills as everyone in this group was a new face .
The Company
It very well structured especially with the breakout rooms and all the panelists that joined us on time. A lot of questions were asked too which really enabled me to get a broad view of a career in MUFG as well as their inclusive and verse culture.
Very inclusive and collaborative. Questions were encouraged as well as the attendee also being very friendly.
Many of MUFG's senior directors and graduates gave up their time during the day to give us key insights into their role. They were open to questions and also giving us life long career tips. MUFG really put in a lot of effort into their insight day and the fact that so many of their colleagues wanted to get involved gives me a great overview of their culture.
The culture was very much reflected in all of MUFG's employees. Everyone seemed inclusive and encouraging which is really important for an upcoming grad myself. It was really helpful to understand how many learning opportunities are available for graduates as well gaining an insight into all the opportunities available once you're working for the company such as mobility opportunities.
The virtual experience was a great indication of MUFG's culture. MUFG is always looking to do the right thing and this was reflected in their commitment to ESG and their 6 inclusivity programmes such as Balance. Moreover, everybody was very encouraging and this was reflected in how many colleagues attended this event. All MUFG's colleagues were as excited to be there as much as I was.
Sustainable finance and the growing evolution of technology is something of interest to me. Having had spoken to [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions], it was clear that Transaction Banking is a career choice for me. He clearly explained how well integrated ESG and technology is within transaction banking and I believe its a division with lots of momentum as companies look to become more efficient.
Everything Else
The opportunity to network was very present throughout the event. There were several business representatives present during every part and they were also very willing to take on questions. Many of whom were recent graduates so they gave us a deep insight into the recruitment and training process which was very helpful.
They were very well organised. I have the opportunity to speak to people who are really senior and they were able to speak about the challenges they have come across and their career path but i was also able to interact with graduates who were able to give me an overview of the recruitment process and the graduate programme such as the training and how the rotations work.
Yes. Many employees got involved in various virtual socials over the lockdown. It was great to see how social the culture at MUFG is! [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] particularly spoke about doing a dimsum class with her team.
Yes!
