The Role
I enjoyed everything immensely, except for the fact that my Project: Nabarro commitments meant that I was working very late every evening, which was particularly fatiguing in light of the fact that I had a fairly long commute. The project would have been more welcome if I had a weekend on which to do it!
Everyone in my department prepared me well for my assignments and they were very complimentary on my work.
My supervisor and mentor regularly checked up on me and their door was open for any queries I had.
I was kept fairly busy with work given to me by colleagues from my department, but the addition of a Project: Nabarro task that required considerable research and team coordination meant that I was exceptionally busy.
I don't think there was enough time on a one-week placement to be so fully immersed in one deal that I could be asked to do a great deal of work on it independently; but that's not a bad thing, it's just the nature of a short internship.
I'm already in a job in the legal sector and the experience was more about meeting the people at Nabarro rather than encountering any drastically new work!
The Company
Really lovely people who were very keen to chat over lunch or try to find me work.
The timetable was very clear and all of the presentations and training sessions were very polished and informative.
The training period was very short in absolute terms (owing to the term of the placement), but what there was was comprehensive and professional.

Company Parties/Events
The internship experience only improved my opinion of the firm.
The Culture
N/A - no unstructured free time in which to find out!
I didn't have to pay living costs, and eating costs were standard central London prices...
N/A - didn't have much of an opportunity to experience this.
I was involved in lunchtime social activities within my department and was offered the chance to be involved in after work activities, but didn't have any unstructured free time in which to do so!
