The Role
Interesting work on the team I was placed into, really enjoyed working with the Interns in my team, lots of opportunities outside of work to develop and grow.
Manager and their team were all very welcoming, checking in on my progress and offering to show me their work. Interns in my team were all very friendly and encouraging.
Feedback from manager on tasks was perhaps the best learning material from the entire internship. Was extremely helpful.
A fair amount of work load, would often see team mates pulling overtime.
Due to COVID-19, was not able to be given as much responsibility as previous internship years. Project did hot have a huge impact.
Learned very useful skills, beyond just technical. Training/feedback was very valuable. Overall a rewarding experience.
The Company
Friendly team mates, manager was very busy but would take the time to reply at some point. Had quite a few points of contact if needed help.
Very impressed with how well adapted the internship was for virtual work.
Manager was very helpful in assisting and providing feedback, but due to short nature of internship (due to COVID-19) did not receive much training. Online learning courses were fairly useful.
Sports and Social Club
Working from home
Healthcare from home
Lots of opportunity, clear career progression.
The Culture
Was working virtually, but within the team we were all very friendly and would interact often.
