The Role
We had long, busy days, so it was very demanding, but at the same time we were gaining a lot of information and it was very insightful and interesting.
It was a friendly atmosphere, but as the programme only lasted two days we didn't really make friends.
Everything had been planned in advance for us, and they provided us with a lot of insightful information.
I was absolutely exhausted by the end of both days.
It was only a two day programme so this question doesn't really apply.
Not necessary applicable to my degree (as far as I've studied yet anyway), but will definitely be useful for future internships/careers.
The Company
We were always kept busy, with a range of different tasks
Everything was planned in advance for us, and it all ran smoothly.
Members of the business gave up their valuable time to give us presentations, let us job shadow them, and spend networking sessions with us.
They've given us hints and tips for with any future applications to them that we make, they gave us an example of an assessment centre.
The Culture
We didn't really have time to do anything outside of the placement, but we were all friendly with each other, we could work in groups and spend breaks socialising with each other.
Although I didn't go out on this occasion, Bournemouth is a university city and therefore has cheap pubs/clubs/restaurants in the city centre. Obviously if you are looking for something a bit more upmarket for an occasion, it has that too. And being near to the beach is rare for a large organisation.
I have been out before in Bournemouth, twice. And both times I had a really enjoyable night out.
This wasn't really applicable to me. I was told that they get discount access to gyms nearby though.
