  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I found the Insight Event to be quite enjoyable. It was very well organised and was intellectually stimulating. The commercial exercise also was a huge success and made the event that much more enjoyable.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • I felt extremely valued during my time at the event as all the questions that I had asked were answered. During the commercial exercise we were also accompanied by a current trainee who was there to help us whenever we needed.

    • Thoughout the event I received a lot of guidance/support, from the members of the graduate team as well as from the current trainees who were there to support us during the commercial exercise that took place.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • This Insight Event included a commercial exercise which was quite useful. I think it has prepared me well for when I participate in such exercises during assessment centres. The application workshop was also a great help as it allowed me to understand what law firms require from their future trainees.

    • The event was very well structured. From the start we were told about the structure and the event flowed exactly as outlined in the beginning.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • The general atmosphere was very lively. The graduate team and the partner both encouraged us to ask questions which resulted in a very interactive event.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • With guidance from the trainee appointed to us during the commercial exercise I was able to further improve my negotiation skills.

    • The event in this regard was quite helpful as it painted a very attractive and detailed picture of what working at Dentons would be like.

    • The insight allowed me to understand the company culture in quite detail, however, since this was a virtual event we were not able to have a tour of the office and experience the culture in that way.

    • This was a virtual Insight Event, therefore, there was no requirement for a reimbursement.

    • Since this was a virtual event there were not enough opportunities to network.
