The Role
Gave me an excellent all round experience of what working for a global organisation is like. Tough and challenging but very rewarding, friendly work place with the ability to work from home made flexibility easy. Related well to my studies and would recommend.
Really close knit team, could go to my manager about anything, whenever. Was part of a small team which helped overcome challenges at the start and still in touch with now after finishing my year.
As mentioned above could go to my manager about anything, even if not directly work related about issues I was having or problems understanding some aspects of the role. Made easy by having understanding members of the team who had already been in my position.
Started really busy but once adjusted to the role and found how to be more time efficient made time elsewhere, did drop off towards the end due to pandemic.
Fair amount, always encouraged to go and venture outside the tasks of just one team and see other aspects of the organisation, which helped see how other departments operated.
Will transfer all skills learnt into next job, even the little things such as getting use to the work place environment and how to professionally construct an email which will stick with me.
The Company
Professional, had many laughs but work did always come first.
Very well run, had undergrad sessions every other week to make sure we were getting on OK. Helped meet new people as well.
Invested in training and developing me in skills I never thought I'd have, especially IT ones.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Working from home
Trying to go back for a graduate scheme
The Culture
Was a nice balance, still stay in touch with a few, most were in a different office so didn't get to see them that often.
Luton isn't the most attractive place to live for a 21 year old but with working from home made it very affordable.
Don't think Luton has a club?
Good range of gyms around, played 5 a side with some other employees has some good opportunities.
