    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a fantastic experience.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I was really surprised by the effort everyone made with me. I was only in the department for a week, but I managed to talk to most people and everyone seemed very genuine and friendly. Despite how busy the Partner was, who I shared a room with, he really made an effort to involve me in his work and talk me through the several transactions he was working on.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The team at Nabarro were very supportive, from the induction, to the graduate recuitment team, to my supervisor. I felt people were there if I needed them and the open door policy I had read about at the firm definately lived up to expectations.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I did feel that the week was very busy and it was difficult to balance all the different tasks from the department, supervisors and Project Nabarro. At least it gave me a realistic insight into life as a solicitor!

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I really felt that my input was valued with the members of the firm I worked alongside and I was given great responsibility, even talking to clients and making sure documents were signed.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I now have a great working insight into life at a top city law firm and will have more confidence when talking about the proffession and the realities of daily life.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • I definately saw how demanding the work can be, but it was never 'dull' or 'tedious' even from an outsiders perspective. The work was engaging, interesting and I saw the passion of the lawyers involved. The social activities were very entertaining.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The placement was well organised, though because we were the first Easter placement it was apparent that everyone was getting used to the lack of time available for inductions etc.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • 4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Company Parties/Events

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I really hope I get offered the training contract. The great experience I had at Nabarro's has made it clear how much I would like to pursue a career with the firm.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The socials were well attended and there was definately a perfect balance between work and events.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • 1/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • 2/5

  • 3/5
