About You
Given current circumstances, this was a great experience. We were given deep insight of the Corporate and Commercial Banking division and also on the Santander values and way of working. I have to say that it was really interesting and a great opportunity for anyone. It was so interesting to follow and i really enjoyed the fact that both graduates and existing employees were included in our virtual internship situation. I Would definitely recommend it.
It was such an interesting experience and i really felt that Santander really cares about its potential employees and graduates. The passion and how employees are driven to bring change is something that inspired me. In addition we were paired with a Santander employee within the CCB,which was really useful as they guided us on how to prepare for our presentations while giving us tips on how to improve. Unfortunately we didnt have the chance to work in teams or in person in order for us to feel the office like spirit.
Santander employees were the most supportive employees i have faced throughout the banking industry. I have to say i am proud to have been working with them as they are true role models for us. Given current circumstances, Santander was up to date and understanding to each single concern we raised. In addition, my mentor was supportive in every sense and helped me build up a perfect presentation and develop my digital presentation skills. Great support keep it up!
I am fascinated by how Santander gives the opportunity via its Innovation Project and agile mentoring as part of the Accelarating Capability Programme to demonstrate the fresh&new analytical approach of newcomers to real business problems while impressing stakeholders. I have learned that customers are the key of a business and that customer loyalty is something crucial in surviving nowadays especially during Covid19 and being part of the CCB, I have enhanced my skills in an international company which faces plenty of different perspective clients. The CCB internship helps an individual develop a perspective on different industries and positions.
The Company
It has been a unique experience offering a lot of information on Santander and CCB and I have to say it has been very informative and engaging. Some things that I think are important to improve on is the promotion of the Santander Universities scheme which personally haven’t heard of during my university life and it is really important, so perhaps introducing a brand ambassador would be interesting. In addition, in regard to the programme it would be interesting if there were more group activities in order to engage more with the rest of the interns.
The CCB graduate scheme according to graduates is here to help you prosper and succeed. The diversity of the scheme offered by Santander and the acceptance of people from all ethnic backgrounds makes me feel welcomed. I truly appreciate the fact that Santander invests in its people to follow their interest while also maintaining a simple, personal and fair approach in banking. I would have loved to work with the whole team in the office but given current circumstances theres not much to do.
