The Role
Amazing placement with great staff throughout, I enjoyed the placement so much that the company have now had me back Part-Time in my final year at uni
Throughout the entire placement not once did I feel like an intern and followed the same promotion platform as the full time employees.
You are given a mentor the very first day you get there who guides you. My Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager also helped me develop a lot as an employee
I was based in one of the Largest branches in the area and we would regularly serve 40/50 customers a day or running cars between branches.
I was treated just like a full time employee and was in charge of body holds (damage), ringing assigned accounts, meeting accounts and many more
The company is huge and you are able to learn so many new things that I never thought a rental car company would even do
The Company
It was generally really good. There was one point where we had some staffing issues and it wasn’t a great time to be a part of the branch but once resolved it was great again.
As an intern you will do 3 stage tests and be promoted within just 12 months. Your not just there for a year they bring you on as if you are starting a career with them
They invested a lot ! I had 1 on 1 meetings every month with my branch manager to see how we where doing, a lunch with my mentor every month, Regular training sessions at head office and meetings with my area manger
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Amazing ! Following on from my placement I’m now working part time alongside uni and plan to go full time once I have finished. The company only promote internally so I can see the path to success
The Culture
We had a branch meal every month, had a Enterprise 5 a side team, went out for drinks after shifts and went on area nights out.
I was a university student at the time so just stayed in a uni house
Cheltenham and Gloucester are great ! Very vibrant cities with loads to do after work and on weekends, especially in Cheltenham
We had a 5 a side team which ran for a few months. however not everyone in the branch lived close so often didn’t hang round for long
