The Role
I have enjoyed my placement very thoroughly. During the year, I have gained valuable experience in the new technologies such us the MERN stack. Clock's active involvement in the development of my skills has made me a better developer.
I have always felt extremely valued by my colleagues.
I have always felt supported by my manager as well as by all the other colleagues.
I would say working at Clock offers you that perfect work-life balance. Every Monday I was informed about the current week's schedule. I have never felt overwhelmed nor underwhelmed by the number of tasks given to me.
Before I have started my placement year I was worried I won't be involved in any serious projects. I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised by Clock because ever since the first month, I was involved in implementing new features for one of the main clients at that time. Over time as my experience grew, I was given my own new project that I have worked on along one senior software engineer.
All the skills I have learned during my placement year will have a significant impact on my studies, my professional life as well as my life in general. Coming back to the University now, I feel much more confident. Having a real-life industry experience will make my final year at the University much easier.
The Company
Everyone was always kind and happy to help. A very fun environment to work in.
Very well organised. The team puts a lot of effort in making sure you make the most out of the placement year.
