The Role
I really enjoyed my week with Nabarro and only wished it was for a longer period!
I was given the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of work and felt valued for the work I completed.
My supervisor was always happy to help clarfiy information and provide pointers on what I needed to do in order to complete the task in hand. I felt I could ask for any advice or guidance I needed.
My supervisor was aware of the commitments I was undertaking and encouraged me to ensure there was a balance between my work and the activities planned with the other placement students. I never felt that I had too much work and was certainly never even close to bored!
I was given responsibilities for researching legal points, drafting minutes and checking documents. I felt this was a great deal of responsibility for a vacation student and really felt valued for the time that I was there.
The placement showed the importance of attention to detail, working in a team and getting involved in a wide range of opportunities. These are very valuable skills and experiences to take forward.
The Company
Everyone was really friendly and social in the department and someone would always invite me to lunch.
The scheme was very well organised and there were plenty of events outside the time in the department to mix with the other students.
As the scheme was only a week we were given a one day crash course in the computer systems and basic research skills. I felt comfortable to ask my buddy and other trainees for help with any problems I was having so that I could perform the task in hand.
If given the opportunity I was happily work for them!
The Culture
Although we were only on the scheme for a week there was often lunches arranged among the students.
