  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Throughout my year at enterprise the managers that oi worked with and my colleagues were consistently supportive and appreciative of my work, even when I was brand new. All managers would take every opportunity to help me progress further in my training by taking time out of their day to assist me in my progression. I had a couple of different managers throughout my time at enterprise and even the area manager showed personal involvement in my progression and training as a management trainee in the company.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The managers made every effort to hold social events. Throughout the year I attended many social events from branch dinners to area night outs. Enterprise as a company host a Christmas ball with all enterprise branches in neighbouring areas which was personally one of the highlights of my year. I attended the winter ball and managed to network in a pressure free environment. Enterprise live by a saying; “work hard, play hard” which was reflected throughout my time as an intern.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The place that I lived had expensive accommodation and the town was not very established. Having said that enterprise made every effort to host social events and ensure everyone was comfortable in their personal lives.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The night life in the area that I worked was not as good as some other areas but as I was not far from bristol it was not impossible. The lack of night life did not prevent me from socialising with any of my colleagues as there were constant events being organised to socialise neighbouring branches.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • The act activities outside of work were your own responsibility to get involved in. Enterprise encouraged socialising outside of work which all employees were consistently up for. Personally I also joined a gym which I have always been passionate about and was able to continue with during my placement year.
