About You
I really enjoyed this Santander work experience course because the Santander team was very welcoming and answered all our questions and queries with clarity. Also, I have always been interested in how a bank works and now the experience has taught me the basis of a bank and how it operates such as, credit cards and scores, mortgages, insurance etc. The whole experience was very intellectual and enjoyable because the whole group got involved in conversations and we all had to plan our own dream bank and present it to the group, receiving constructive criticism and commendation. In order to make it a 10/10 rating, perhaps we could of been separated into mini breakout rooms for 15 minutes and share our ideas as a small group, to evaluate our ideas, however overall it was a fantastic work experience and the team made sure to give us many breaks so that we stay refreshed and alert.
At the virtual Santander work experience, the team made us all feel very valued and were very welcoming to us. The team asked us questions and were very respectable and humorous. The experience was an amazing opportunity and the team made sure to contribute everyone into conversations so that no one felt left out or shy to contribute answers or ask questions. As a group we very valued and everyone was kind and respectable to each other. Also, the Santander team gave us lots of information and took our ideas into consideration.
We received lots of guidance and support throughout the Santander virtual work experience course because the team made sure to include everyone and answer all questions or queries. Also, the team supported us by giving us constructive criticism about our dream bank and what it should include. The team even took our ideas into account and gave us further information. It was a fantastic experience as all the information given was in depth and presented clearly to us. We learnt what the basis of a bank should have and what customers expect from a Santander bank.
The skills that I developed during the virtual Santander work experience were very useful because I now know what the basis of a bank include such as, a good bank should have access to credit, young people debit cards, insurance, mortgages etc. The experience also gave us lots of information of what advantages the staff receive and the course leader advised us on what degrees we should consider taking in order to get into the banking industry. Although virtual work experience could cause a communication barrier, the Santander team successfully overcame this and evaluated all the information with clarity.
The Company
The Santander virtual work experience was very well structured because the team started the experience with the history of Santander and they quizzed all the group of what they learnt, this was very useful because it involved everyone to contribute and analyse the history of Sanatander and how it was originated to become a very popular and successful banking business. Also, the team set a task for us to create our own dream bank and what aspects should be included in order to make it successful, this was a great task because it challenged everyone's knowledge and research skills. Overall it was a well structured experience with lots of information, with an enjoyable environment too.
The general atmosphere in the virtual Santander work experience course was very welcoming and supportive. The team was very kind and created humorous in their answers in order to create an enjoyable atmosphere for everyone in the group. Also, the Santander team and the virtual group was very respectful to everyone and acknowledged lots of ideas. The atmosphere was informational and it kept everyone refreshed due to the mini breaks and feedback along with many questions to consolidate.
The virtual Santander work experience course helped us to understand what it would be like to work full time at the Santander bank or any bank in general. We learnt about the different roles and what advantages we would receive from working full time there. Also, we discovered information about discounts, train tickets and much more positive aspects of working at the Santander bank. Personally, I enjoyed learning about what a full time role would include and what qualification would be needed in order to be successful in this career.
The virtual Santander work experience helped us to understand the company culture very clearly because we discovered the history and success behind Santander and what aspects were needed in the bank. For example the public should have access to the following information about credits score/cards, mortgages, insurance etc. Also, we learnt about what behaviours should be accepted at Santander and what respectful aspects should a successful bank like Santander include. Santanders's history has been originated in Spain, creating an understanding for the Spanish culture.
The virtual Santander work experience was very valuable in the aspect of helping me decide my future career path. This is because I now have a better understanding of the basis of a bank and I am highly interested in following up a career in this job market industry and finding out more research about banks and what different jobs there are out thee in the market. Also, I am currently researching what qualifications are needed in certain professions in working at a bank and also what university degree would be needed for this.
Everything Else
I would definitely recommend this virtual Santander work experience to a friend who may be interested in the banking or business industry. This is because the experience has given me an insight of what working at a bank is like and what important and necessary aspects are needed for a bank in order for it to be successful. Also, the friend I would recommend this to will have a clearer idea of if banking life is really for them and this experience had showed me evidently that I am highly interested in this career aspect.
