The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed it, really glad I applied and attended!
The supervisors on the programme were really friendly, helpful and approachable and similarly for the people I shadowed
We were made to feel comfortable and encouraged to ask questions without feeling embarassed at all, there was alot of emphasis on the fact that it was a learning experience and we weren't expected to know everything
Incredibly busy! Early start and late finish on the first day but considering it's only a 2 day programme it was good that as much as possible was packed in to make the most of our time there
The presentation and group activities were the only times we really had responsibility, but again as it was such a short period of time we had it was much more helpful to have people knowledgeable about the business telling us what they knew to assist with our future applications and careers
What I learnt wasn't really relevant to my degree studies but as I am certain that I want to pursue a career in banking when I graduate I feel I have gained an invaluable insight into the industry and have learned some jargon and more about the processes and departments involved to help with job applications and interviews
The Company
Constantly moving with lots of friendly people and never a moment to sit still!
There was constantly presentations, shadowing, networking or activities planned, with a lot of friendly, helpful guest speakers who all arrived promptly and the whole event was obviously very well planned
A lot of time and effort had obviously been put into making it an enjoyable 2 days for us, lots of food was well laid out for us and countless people from the organisation met with us

Would really love to get a job with JP Morgan and I will 100% be applying when applications open at the end of August!
The Culture
We weren't there for long enough to have nights out together or anything but while we were there everyone was very friendly and have definitely made some friends to keep in contact with
I'm from the area originally so it's not an issue for me, but as it's by the sea hose prices are high and nights out with taxis aren't cheap, but obviously a much cheaper option than London!
Bournemouth is famous for it's amazing nightlife! Haven't found anywhere better yet!
Not while we were there but talking to the colleagues there was mention of sports clubs and social events that take place outside of work which interested me, there was a lot of emphasis on work-life balance
