Overview
Each day involves a meeting to catch everyone up with my previous work. My work would involve fixing bugs in existing tools, releasing and readying tools for use by other teams, and centralizing tools. My previous internship at the same position at the company was mostly the same, but I had a large project that involved creating a modification for a previous tool and releasing it, with documentation.
Skills
Version control skills have been greatly improved, my understanding of how a companies code base is structured and my communication skills have improved. My coding skills have been refined to work better with a companies coding practises.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility in both of my internships
Support & Guidance
I was given constant support where I asked for it, and the daily meetings ensured that everyone knew where I was in a given job. The ticket system gave me a good idea of how much time should be allocated per task.
Culture
Open and friendly, where I asked for help I would receive it
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it both on my first internship, and my second internship, which was remote
Yes
To be open about your experiences and be open to learning something new.
