Overview
Throughout the day we heard from a number of industry professionals about their experiences in the industry and skills required in environmental jobs, including habitat monitoring and public engagement. We also were given useful advice about job applications and how to prepare for interviews.
Skills
I feel much more prepared when approaching job applications now. I also learnt valuable team work skills through the campaign task we were given.
Business Insight
The roles at hengistbury head were explained in depth by the members of staff in that role and also gave us an insight in the experience they had beforehand which helped them get their position.
Culture
Very positive and genuinely care about your future conservation career goals. I’ve been in touch will all staff members since the placement ended.
