Overview
The work experience comprised of week-long virtual talks through Zoom. Each day there were around 4-5 speakers, all giving a presentation or a talk on their specific field of work within conservation. Talks included animal grazing management, setting up your own business, storytelling, education and much more.
Skills
It was fantastic because it really gave me in an insight into all the various fields of work I could go into, which I had no idea about before. Focus- especially with the nature of placements and work all going online.
Business Insight
It was good to see how much the Conservation field can branch off, and to be able to speak to people within those different areas were great. Was enjoyable to hear their own personal journeys and making contacts.
Culture
The atmosphere and culture were great. The main leaders of the programme, Brian and Kelly, were present throughout and always on hand to answer questions. All the participants were friendly too.
Your Impressions
Very much so. They really packed the placement full.
Yes
Be enthusiastic and willing to learn.
