Overview
On a daily basis I correspond with several line managers throughout the company as well as external agencies to prepare partnership proposals / opportunities. I manage the sourcing and delivery of creative assets to agencies and exhibitors whilst overseeing their artwork and proposal submissions.
Skills
Effective remote communication: My ability to engage an audience remotely and actively listen and participate in crowded zoom calls has definitely improved from the start of my placement. Be it from my presence on the call to making direct eye contact with the camera when you are addressing people. Adaptability and flexibility: With forever changing film slates and release dates, it has been so important for me to be flexible with call timings, work hours and overall promotions. Tech savviness: My understanding for business platforms such as iCampaign, SharePoint and others, has been expanded beyond belief. The best thing about my remote placement was truly being thrown in the deep end and having to learn and understand the new platforms on my own.
Responsibilities
Given the small number of people in our team there was a lot of responsibility given to me from day 1 of the job.
Support & Guidance
My manager has been very supportive and I am extremely lucky to be surrounded by 50+ interns within the company. They have provided a significant amount of support and guidance.
Culture
Employees at all levels are involved in decision making and it is a very inclusive business. Collaboration is highly valued especially given the nature of our film promotions. Warner Bros. is such an exciting place to work from all the new additions to the slate and the ability to be so creative with such amazing IP (assets), it's such a great environment to work in.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and really hope I get the opportunity to work here again.
Yes
Firstly, rejections are so common. When I first applied to Warner Bros. I thought there was no way I would get a job here, just because of how HUGE the company is. By being myself and expressing my love for not just the film industry but the marketing industry too, I believe I was able to secure this role. In 3 words I would encourage you to be: Passionate, proactive, and ambitious.
