Overview
Market intelligence is an important part of my role. As a result, I produce reports on our competitors. Also, I support our Digital Analyst and have learnt a lot about that type of role too. I have also worked on bigger strategic projects with the wider team.
Skills
Key skills: Digital Analytics (Adobe Analytics) Excellent Excel skill Collaborating General knowledge of the media advertising world Have learnt lots of researching tools/ techniques
Responsibilities
The difficult part of my placement is that I was the first ever intern in my role which meant the daily/weekly tasks had not been outlined at the start of my placement. I have just picked things up as I have gone on, I am now 7 months in and I would say my manager has only just started to trust me to work on my own. Which is a shame.
Support & Guidance
My direct manager has done as much as she can working remotely but my wider team could have reached out more to offer advice/guidance. It has always been me reaching out to them.
Culture
From my perspective everyone seems really friendly but also majority are only worried about their agender. Very rarely did it feel like someone was doing me a favor, and as an intern working from home it would of been nice to feel like people want to get to know me more.
Your Impressions
It's been difficult. Being an out going individual I would of really benefitted from the social environment of the office. I believe I would of made a bigger and deeper impression of my colleagues. I am glad to be doing the placement but that's only because of the position it should put me in when applying for roles in the future.
Yes
Go for it. The size of the brand brings plenty of opportunity and lots of diversity.
