    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the virtual experience and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • Received a range of different perspectives from people within the workforce on their lifestyle, working divisions and their journey. Also received help and information to prepare for interviews for the assessment centre

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • As a Bame individual, I have learnt more about how to express myself and my skills and use my background in order to benefit me by adding a unique story to my answers. Also, it has allowed me to be more confident in interviews with a more positive mindset especially for the FCA as it shows the importance they place on diversity and inclusion

    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • It was very interesting. I was not fully aware of all the different divisions and different areas to work in when applying. However, now I fully know what each division does and what makes them all unique and how they play an integral part in the processes of the FCA. I am now more confident as to where I would fit if I were fortunate enough to work here

    Culture

  • 4. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The atmosphere was really nice. Some companies in this industry have a lot of stereotypes about being quite dull and laboured but the FCA really has a nice helpful and bubbly workforce. It is clear to see the positivity and good vibes throughout the firms after hearing from their employees

  • Yes

  • 8. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)
  • Don't think you must know everything before you apply because it is clear throughout the divisions a lot of it you learn on the job as there are people in every department from various academic backgrounds. A lot of what the FCA does is on the website so definitely check that out prior too
