Overview
Two-day programme held virtually over Zoom. Listened to talks from J.P. Morgan employees on the culture, as well as specific sessions on Equity Capital Markets and Debt Capital Markets, as well as Investment Banking Coverage. Had the opportunity to network directly with analysts, associates, VPs, EDs and MDs. There were also opportunities for Q&A throughout.
Skills
Improved my knowledge of the work of the Investment Banking Division and the culture at J.P. Morgan.
Business Insight
There was a significant amount of information given about the roles available within the Investment Banking Division, covering a range of areas from ECM, DCM, EMEA Coverage, UK M&A and so on. The presentations were incredibly detailed and gave me a solid understanding of the material. There was also the opportunity to ask questions and learn even more in that way.
Culture
Despite it being a virtual event, I still got a strong sense of the company culture, which was a decidedly positive experience. It is clear that J.P. Morgan has a strong culture, with a focus on ESG issues, Diversity & Inclusion and employee wellbeing, for example. All of the employees I networked with seemed to enjoy working at J.P. Morgan.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was great to speak with employees and I learned a lot.
