Overview
We discussed the different sectors in investment banking as well as their roles. We also had interactive group exercises and reviewed case studies in small groups. We networked with current JP Morgan employees.
Skills
I gained more insight into the different subsections of investment banking. I gained more knowledge in areas like ECM, DCM, M&A and Leveraged Finance. I definitely improved my networking skills and analytical skills through the interactive case study exercise.
Business Insight
You explore the intricacies of all the different groups within investment banking.we talked about technology, media, private equity and so on. There’s something for everyone.
Culture
The company culture was very open and collegial. The employees were very open about the kind of work they did, how long they spent working and how it affected them as a whole.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it very much. I got to meet several like minded people and compared ideas about finance with them. We had interesting group activities. I also learnt that investment banking was far more complex than I initially expected.

I would advice you to get involved in as many beneficial societies in university as you can. Structure an outstanding cv as this is the basis of your application
