Overview
Before the session - Fitch Capital Markets taught session Day 1 - Networking with analysts and associates to learn about the different sub-divisions of markets Day 2 - Trading simulation, presentation on a current market topic to an executive director and networking with senior members of staff from markets
Skills
I improved my networking skills with senior members of staff and presentation skills.
Business Insight
They held a session on day 2 on the summer internship recruitment process and we were aware of all the different divisions by the end of the spring insight.
Culture
All the staff we networked with were very nice and allowed us to ask any questions we liked. It was very interactive and it felt like the staff wanted to know more about us.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed how interactive the days were, however, I just wish it were longer which is always a good thing. It is a shame that there were not more market teaching sessions to learn more about the industry, but I am sure this would have been the case if we were not in the middle of a pandemic.
Yes
They seriously value being different. If you are like me and are studying at a non-target university it does not matter once you are at the insight week, so you are on par with all of your peers.
