Overview
Attended various talks outlining different departments. Networking with current graduates and directors. Group task involving working with other insight students to produce and present a presentation related to the property industry.
Skills
I have learnt a lot more about the services Savills provides and who they work with. I have also been able to develop my commercial awareness skills through the scheme with the departmental talks as well as my teamwork skills during the group presentations.
Business Insight
It opened my eyes to the number of different roles and pathways available to graduates. Also, the fact that once you join the firm your path is not set in stone, there is flexibility to choose a different pathway. This is especially evident in rotational roles whilst you are completing your APC.
Culture
Felt like a very supportive culture, directors were willing to give up their time to talk with us as well as other employees. Everyone was willing to answer questions and provide their emails for follow up questions. Quite hard to get a real sense as it was a virtual experience so it would be interesting to see how it compares to in the office.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed the diverse range of speakers, as well as the opportunity to ask questions to the directors and employees. I also enjoyed the group task as it was a good chance to meet with other members of the program as well as developing my commercial awareness.
Yes
Show why you want to be on the programme. Improve your commercial awareness. Think about what you want to get out of the program.
