Overview
We were lucky enough to attend various talks from different departments. We also had a Q and A sessions with both current graduate student and directors. As part of the programme we were assigned into groups of 10 where we had to present to the rest of the students and Savills employees.
Skills
I have definitely become more commercially aware, it has been extremely informative hearing research and information from people who are actively involved within the industry. I have also developed my networking skills by being able to ask the employees questions directly and connect with them on Linkedin.
Business Insight
It was very interesting and somewhat comforting to see the emphasis that Savills place on recruiting graduate students, supporting them through sitting the APC and ultimately becoming an instrumental part of the team.
Culture
The company culture and atmosphere was very welcoming and all of the departments and directors took a genuine interest in the students. The insight has made Savills come across as a fantastic place to start a career in property.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight and it has really made me want to pursue a career in property. Given that the insight was virtual due to COVID-19 restrictions, I think the team did a fantastic job to make it worthwhile. I really felt like I got something out of the placement.
