Overview
We had different panels of speakers every day providing insight into their teams, experiences and journeys. We received a great deal of encouragement and advice. There was a deal task for us to complete. We met many different people and always had an opportunity to ask questions.
Skills
Definitely networking better and effectively using LinkedIn. I also built up my confidence too.

It was very useful. It provided me with a greater understanding of what the company is looking for and made me realise I see myself working for them one day. It definitely helped me understand the purpose of the application process and it was very encouraging.
Culture
The atmosphere was very welcoming and warm. Everyone was happy and positive. I felt like I worked with DLA Piper for an extremely long time and I felt as if I knew everyone personally. The main thing is they made us all feel welcome and comfortable!

Yes
Be confident in your abilities and be yourself. DLA Piper loves when students and future trainees expose their true selves and allow the team to get to know them. Don't be afraid to ask questions and definitely take notes. Everything you learn with them will be valuable for you.
