  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • The main objective of the Spring Week was to learn about the investment banking industry and the company, to benefit from the views of analysts and to network. Mains activities : Meetings with many analysts, seniors Presentations of the company, the different teams Group project Investment Banking Case Studies

  • I developed my communication skills and my team spirit. I learnt how to network, I understood the real requirements to enter the Investment Banking sector.

    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • It was enriching to meet such a panel of different analysts; I discovered the variety of jobs, teams. It helped me to better understand the organisation of Jefferies and Investment bank in general. So, it allowed me to feel more comfortable about the industry, and to better position myself for my future.

    Culture

  • 4. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Jefferies seems to be a company that values its employees. The atmosphere seems friendly, the analysts seem to have a very good relationship with their superiors. All the people I met seemed to be fulfilled, bright and hardworking. Finally, Jefferies employees seem to evolve in a challenging and friendly environment.

    Your Impressions

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I was delighted to be able to meet so many analysts, all of whom come from different backgrounds, and who now have very different jobs. I enjoyed being challenged on my place in a group, on my knowledge of the sector, and I learned a lot about the investment bank, about Jefferies but also about myself.

  • Feel confident, the process is quite long. For the interview, know yourself, they don't try to trick you about your financial knowledge. Be aware of the British organization for the Spring/Summer process.
