Overview
The insight consisted of presentations, networking sessions and business case studies, but also assessments such as a group exercise, a group presentation and final interviews.
Skills
I was able to improve my teamworking and presentation skills by working on the case study presentations and also my communication skills by networking with my fellow spring interns and professionals within the firm.
Business Insight
Although the insight was focused on the investment banking division, we attended presentations on other divisions such as equity research and we were able to understand how these interact. It certainly helped me understand the interplay between the different divisions within an investment bank and what my future role as an investment banker would entail in every sector or product team.
Culture
Very entrepreneurial culture and very knowledgeable people, but also approachable, I was able to have 1:1 conversations with analysts during the evenings.
Your Impressions
It was definitely a learning experience as I had never tackled a case study before and the culture of the firm was great, so an overall enjoyable experience.
Yes
Practice psychometric tests and make sure you research the firm before applying.
