Overview
The programme consisted of 4 days in total. The first day was an introduction to Rothschild & Co as well as an "introduction to investment banking" session with Fitch learning. The following days consisted of more specific talks from the different teams at the firm as well as networking sessions, online social events and workshops. Throughout the programme a case study was done which was presented on the last day.
Skills
I definitely developed my presenting skills through the case study as well as my teamwork skills as this was done in groups of 6. I developed and enhanced a lot of my knowledge on investment banking technicals through the informative sessions and the formation session with Fitch learning. Lastly, the assessment centre workshops enabled me to refine my interview skills.
Business Insight
The team was really helpful in terms of explaining the business and the potential roles available. The analysts that work at the firm were happy to answer any questions we had regarding the roles, amongst others. Overall, the Rothschild & Co team has very clearly explained through the programme how the firm works and what roles would be available.
Culture
The culture at the company was incredible, probably one of the most welcoming firms I have ever taken part in a programme with. Everyone was really helpful, happy and just transmitted the feeling of a family. Overall, the experience with Rothschild & Co was amazing, it is a company with fantastic values.
Your Impressions
I absolutely loved the insight programme. I think it was very well structured, there was a very good balance between panel talks, workshops and social events. The amount they taught us and informed as about in just four days is fascinating.
