Overview
The two days consisted of a series of engaging talks from partners and associates from key practice areas of the firm including Disputes, and Corporate. We heard from graduate recruitment how to create a competitive application to HSF. I also got the opportunity to collaborate with fellow attendees by working on behalf of a fictional client in an Alternative Dispute Resolution task.
Skills
I developed my commercial awareness, and networking skills.
Business Insight
Very clear and understandable what key skills and attributes are needed for the firm to consider you for their Vacation Scheme or a Training Contract.
Culture
Very friendly and forward-facing. Trainees sounded like they were very much supported by the firm - especially during Covid times. There is an evidential drive to constantly improve diversity and inclusion at the firm.

I loved the insight scheme, it gave me a detailed introduction to Herbert Smith Freehills and has convinced me to apply for a vacation scheme next year.
