Overview
We listened to presentations from the Global Advisory, Equity Advisory and Debt Advisory divisions. We also had to complete a group project in which we give an M&A recommendation. Each group got assigned their own pair of companies. We also had coffee chat sessions with current analysts.
Skills
Putting together a presentation in a short amount of time and working together as a group.
Business Insight
Mostly interactive presentations from the different teams.
Culture
People from the business seem to genuinely enjoy working there as one can see from the long average tenure at the company.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed the global advisory case study and I wish they did more of them during the week from different teams. I definitely learned more from that one session than from doing my own group project for the week, as in how an M&A banker would actually evaluate the multiple complex aspects of a deal. I also enjoyed the Rothschild archives session.
Yes
Be a nice person. More important than having a lot of technical knowledge.
