Overview
2 Day Workshop. Attended talks and a hands-on case study.
Skills
Yes, negotiation skills developed during the ADR case study. Team building too, getting accustomed to the solicitor's analytical way of thinking and building a network with similar prospective candidates.
Responsibilities
Not so much, and often using the Hopin platform meant we could not ask questions directly, which was really unfortunate and I felt an obstacle to the interactivity of the sessions. Nice to be given responsibility in the ADR exercise though.
Support & Guidance
Great Graduate recruitment team walking us through everything and excellent introductory talks from the lawyers themselves (e.g. legaltech, advocacy,...). Was a great technical level, especially for a non-law student like myself.
Culture
Really friendly and insightful.
Your Impressions
Very much so.
Yes
Don't be afraid to showcase your genuine personality, which is really valued at HSF. Also, practice logical thinking skills and text analysis; Barney Hinnigan, the partner, really insisted that the assessment day will test these critical thinking faculties.
