Overview
Over the course of two days, I gained insight into HSF, the type of work they do and their clients. There were also opportunities to network with trainees and senior associates too. On the first day I attended an ADR workshop and on the second day I attending a workshop on how to improve my technical skills when approaching a case study.
Skills
I have improved my technical skills, especially how to approach a case study. For instance asking questions, inference and deducting meaning from the given facts.
Business Insight
It was overwhelming at first but very insightful. The skills needed for each role are transferable and it is likely you will work with other practice areas too.
Culture
Very welcoming and friendly. The hosts, trainee solicitors and senior associates who I spoke with in the breakout rooms answered all my questions and were very eager to make sure we understood their roles and gave us tips too.

I really enjoyed every aspect, especially the ADR workshop and the workshop centred on technology as well as the case study workshop.
