Virtual Insight Programme Review

We had a timetable that set out what the itinerary was for the day, and within these days we would meet with current trainees, people who had recently completed the training programme, and also associates and partners of the firm. We learnt about various pro-bono work that the firm is involved in and the diversity and inclusivity networks that have been set up and how they run.

I have learnt how to immerse myself in a task that I have no prior experience of knowledge of, and it has also taught me the invaluable importance of networking. I have made several contacts from this event within the firm but also other people who had joined the insight programme which I hope helps me in the future.

I loved it! I learnt so much about how welcoming the business is to applicants and trainees, as well as the support and training provided before you officially join the firm which is something I have not seen before in a firm. It definitely has sparked my interest in joining the programme.

It was a very inclusive and friendly atmosphere which is something I can really see myself immersing in and enjoying, I really hope to be part of this firm or a similar environment in the future. The interest of the members involved in the talks regarding the questions the insight participants had was really warming.

I loved it, I will definitely be pursuing this opportunity in the future as I felt so welcome and it went above and beyond my expectations regarding the content and overall atmosphere of the programme. I have learned so much from this programme and in that sense I am very grateful for it!

My best advice is don't hesitate! Don't second guess your abilities or understanding of law, because as someone who had not considered law before my application I had no clue what to expect and I have learned so much and have found a passion in it. They give an amazing insight into how you learn within the firm.
