Overview
You would attend insight sessions on specific teams under the division as well as Round Tables with MDs. In your free time, you could book coffee chats with employees at the firm or just use it to complete your intern project.
Skills
Teamwork, public speaking, networking etc.
Business Insight
We got an insight into the daily life of an Analyst, how the career progression works in the division and all the different teams we could work under if we joined the firm for a larger role.
Culture
Everyone was extremely kind and always willing to make time for you, this even includes MDs taking time out of their schedule for 30 minute coffee chats. There is also a large culture of mentorship.
Your Impressions
I absolutely enjoyed it, hoping to come back to GS as a summer analyst.
Yes
Don't be generic in your applications, GS has done so many amazing things which other banks have not done which differentiates them. Use those examples in your application.
