The Role
A good insight into financial regulation and overview of the different working divisions
Extremely friendly environment with a flat hierarchy between all staff
Very supportive programme, with plenty of time for questions all day long
The day consisted of a busy planned schedule for the 3 days, so we were always involved in something.
What you would expect from an insight programme, so no responsibility but instead, worked with case studies
Some interesting insight into risk financial modeling; practice with presentation and teamwork skills; furthered my interest in finance
The Company
Very friendly and warm atmosphere
Extremely organised, a planned schedule from when we woke up until we got back to the hotel
Plenty of presentations focused on the FSA itself, a few challenging exercises but overall little place for personal skills
I am very interested in working for the FSA and it could serve as a useful springboard into the financial services industry
The Culture
Very friendly interns, got along with everyone
A normal amount you'd expect for living in London and staying at a 3 star hotel
Didn't go out but it is great
Aside from the insight programme, the staff have a gym as well as certain organised sports activities
