Overview
The insight took place over a period of a week. The schedule mainly comprised workshops, where current employees took us through technical sessions eg. Global Data ESG data, with time at the end left for Q&A. At the beginning of the week, we were put into groups within which we would work on a group project. Throughout the week, we got to work on our projects and presented on the final day.
Skills
Definitely! Prior to the insight week, we got access to the Bloomberg Market Concepts course which was a key resource as it provided an in-depth foundation into the world of finance. I have learnt a lot about stocks and bonds. I have also learnt how to navigate the Bloomberg Terminal.
Business Insight
It was very enlightening. The insight week mainly focused on the Global Data and the Analytics and Sales teams. We had sessions on either of the departments every day of the insight week. These sessions were facilitated by employees in those departments. They explained the work done by their departments and broke down the different roles. Their explanations were very clear, and were more than willing to respond to all the questions that we had.
Culture
The company culture and the general atmosphere was open, warm, and collaborative. Everyone from the Bloomberg team was always ready to help and answer all the questions that we had. They spoke highly of the effort that Bloomberg makes in impacting society positively through Bloomberg philanthropies.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed the insight program. The learning curve was steep but highly fulfilling. I am glad to have met my team members and worked with them throughout the course of the week on our team project. Bloomberg really does promote a collaborative environment. I would definitely want to immerse myself in such a working environment.

Online Application Apply as soon as possible. The application was quite lengthy as it required us to write some essays, the earlier you begin the better. Interview Be natural. Speak with excitement. Give additional information when answering questions; use examples and quote articles that you have read about.
