Overview
In the first week, there were a lot of scheduled and structured sessions to get a better overview of the company and the division. The second week it was all about desk rotations, networking and a group project.
Skills
Yes, I have broadened my financial knowledge and developed interpersonal skills. I also worked on how to give better presentations and learn how to scratch below the surface and have meaningful interactions. The most important thing was that I learnt how to assess whether my skills fit a certain role.
Business Insight
The two weeks provided an extremely useful insight into GS and its culture, the broad array of people from various backgrounds demonstrated that your degree is not important. They also helped us understand the difference between salespeople and traders
Culture
Extremely welcoming and very apprenticeship-based
