Overview
We had sessions throughout the 4-day programme, all of which being very interactive. There were some very helpful technical and soft skills training as well as insights into all of the major divisions within Rothschild & Co. I was also able to get to know others on the programme whilst working on the group project. There are numerous networking opportunities that give you a personal insight into what life at Rothschild & Co looks like.
Skills
Absolutely, we received a training session that helped us get a solid foundational understanding of the technical aspects of the role. I also developed my soft skills, in a practical sense, through the presentation of my group's project.
Business Insight
The programme was perfect for giving an insight into all the different business areas that make up Rothschild & Co. Although our programme was focused on Global Advisory, we also had an introduction to the Wealth Management business. The recruitment team were extremely helpful in informing us of the opportunities available and hosted sessions to help us prepare for the Summer Analyst assessment centre.
Culture
The people at the firm are incredibly warm and generous with their time. It seemed as though every senior banker I came across had been at the firm since their analyst years. The firm has a long history of giving back to the communities they serve and continue to do so today, with initiatives such as pro bono advisory.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight week. It was an engaging and practical insight into the role of an Analyst, as well as Rothschild & Co as a firm. I have made new friends, through my work on the group project, and have built relationships with the Rothschild & Co team.
