Overview
Timetable was given each day with planned sessions involving- overview of the bank, thematic investing, overview of the two chosen business lines, diversity and inclusion, and self-development
Skills
Learnt about thematic investing, looking into future investment trend. Developed greater networking skills during networking sessions. Also learnt more about two chosen division in bank. Developed skills on managing mental health and individual motivation to cope with the COVID work environment.
Business Insight
It was really great to learn more about the business since it gave us a greater understanding of what it's like to work at the firm. Hearing about the potential roles helped me to aim higher and made me realize that a high up role is reachable.
Culture
It was collaborative, where during the sessions provided, there was a lot of emphasis on teamwork and working across teams and divisions. I also felt that the company is very flexible in their movement of employees, more so than other similar firms, where we heard about how there is a lot more movement between teams and across locations and divisions in the bank.
Your Impressions
There were many interesting sessions during the insight programme and some where very informative and enjoyable. On the other hand, it would be better if the sessions were more interactive since for most sessions it felt that we just sat there and listened
