Overview
The majority of time on a day-to-day was spent networking with professionals across IBD, and working on our case studies within small teams. Additionally, each day involved a range of sessions, including division-specific overviews and firm-wide social events. We were also able to attend inspiring talks with senior leaders in IBD.
Skills
Technical skills e.g. accounting and valuation, presentation skills, powerpoint, excel, networking, resilience, firm-specific knowledge such as the division's structure and role
Business Insight
The spring internship helped me connect the dots and helped me to see where I might fit in. Networking with people across the division gave me great insight into the main differences between roles and expectations for interns. I finished my experience with greater clarity and I'm certain that IBD is the right path for me.
Culture
The people I met at Goldman are all super driven, ambitious, and kind. In my view, this creates a unique culture, based on excellence and collaboration.
