Overview
Day-to-Day you will act as a support fucntion to the sales team across EMEA. This will include conducting client research, producing sales presentations and aiding team members with client negotiations. You are exposed to all areas of the business working within sales, however throughout the sales process with working with legal, marketing and finance. Each day is different with a great mix of long term self owned projects, and short term requests.
Skills
I have learnt an array of new skills including, improving my Microsoft office proficiency, more specifically Excel by producing numerous data files, utilising formula functions. I have also improved my presentation skills, by being able to present by decks to teams across EMEA. Finally my work and time management skills have hugely increased. This is driven by the teams need of managing a number of tasks with similar deadlines throughout the year.
Responsibilities
Yes i was given huge amounts of responsibility throughout. I was able to have self owned projects left to me which required updating monthly and sending to teams across 14 territories. I also was left to conduct critical client research prior to my manager entering into negotiations with clients. Support was also available when needed.
Support & Guidance
I have been lucky enough to have large amounts of support throughout. I have weekly calls with my manager to discuss any issues and help i require. We also have a weekly team call to go through our current tasks and if we need an assistance from members. The first 3 months of the internship was designed to teach me how the business worked, how to operate systems and setting me up for the remainder.
Culture
The culture was great, the team were inclusive throughout and made my experience. Right from the start they allowed me to fit in and were happy to guide me through the business and amend any mistakes i made. Although my placement was conducted from home, i always felt part of the team.
Your Impressions
I could not have enjoyed the placement any more. From the start everyone was happy to help and get me on my feet. They were patient with my and allowed me to learn about the business and how it operates so once i was able to conduct tasks i could effectively. I had the chance to take lead on projects and present to external clients, leading a sales pitch. I obtained invaluable experience and enjoyment.

Be yourself throughout the application process. We receive thousands of applicants and it's the ones who are truthful about their attributes, but are happy to outline areas of improvements.
