    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • The insight was very informative and insightful. The 3 days consisted of networking sessions, talking to new graduates and listening to guest speakers. The days were split up nicely, which allowed you to engage with all of the activities and network with specific divisions.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I developed presentation skills by developing and delivering a short presentation explaining what me and my team mates had learnt about a specific division. In addition I learned to focus on my self more in order to achieve the best future for my self and try to maximise my strengths.

    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • Very exciting, the co-ordinators allowed us to network with new graduates to give us a realistic view of what its like working at BP, they assured us about the nurturing culture and how the company aids personal and professional development. The insight week increased my interest in the business and defiantly urged me to apply for the summer internship the following year

    Culture

  • 4. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Very welcoming, defiantly very inclusive of all people. The co-ordinators as well as the graduates and traders all expressed how all skill sets are welcomed and nurtured to allow the employees to improve and develop

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I enjoyed all of the actives that the co-ordinators had put on, the insight was intreuging yet enjoyable and allowed the participants to engage and network with each other as well as the employees. There were many activities and break out sessions which allowed us to interact with the people around us and learn new things.
