Overview
We received formal training for one week on financial products such as the different asset classes and how they intertwine within a investment bank. We received desk overviews from many different teams that work within Global Markets spanning from Sales, Trading to Structuring. Networking was endless, we were able to build strong connections with employees and engage in fantastic conversations.
Skills
Yes I developed my researching, presentation and pitching skills through delivering a stock pitch in front of senior Vice Presidents at the firm. I strengthened my interpersonal skills through lots of networking as well as articulating my strengths and skills in the exit interviews. Leadership skills and confidence were also developed by having to place myself outside of my confident zone and take risks in order to improve my overall performance in the internship.
